Leiden Ranking is one of the valid university ranking systems that evaluates and ranks the top universities in the world every year based on valid indicators. In the latest results of this system in 2021, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUoMS), is still one of the top universities in the world. TUoMS ranked third among medical universities of the country after Tehran university of medical sciences and Shahid beheshti university of medical sciences.
Overall, aaccording to this report, in terms of scientific impact, TUoMS has achieved the rank of 486 in the world and 11 in universities of Iran.
By upgrading its position compared to the last year, regarding all sciences, TUoMS has risen from 672 in 2020 to 577 in 2021, and in terms of biomedical-health sciences, it has risen from 353 in 2020 to 284 in 2021.
