According to the director of World Health Organization regional committee for the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), Dr.Ahmed Salim Al-Madhari, the award is given to Dr.Dastgiri for his efforts and achievements in epidemiology and population genetics in the field of congenital anomalies and community-based health programs in 67th regional committee of the organization which will be held on October 12 and 13.
