3-Day International Seminar on "Advances in Neurology, Psychiatry & Radiology" held at TUOMS

The research deputy of Medicine Faculty held a 3-day seminar on "Advances in Neurology, Psychiatry & Radiology" from 6 to 8 October, 2015 . The seminar was chaired by Professor Abbas Alavi, professor of radiology and neurology from Pennsylvania University, Professor Albert Gjedde, professor of neurobiology and pharmacology from the University of Copenhagen, Professor Poul-Fleming Hojlund Carlsen, professor of nuclear medicine from Odense University, Dr. Bjørn H. Ebdrup, associate professor of psychiatrics from Copenhagen University, and Dr. Manouchehr Seyedi Vafaee, associate professor of neurology from Copenhagen University.Moreover, there was a ceremony to appreciate Professor Alavi's prominent and outstanding academic and scientific status where the Honorary Doctorate of TUOMS was conferred to him. In addition, since Professor Alavi is originally from Tabriz he received the medal of Tabriz Honorary Citizen from the mayor of the city.
Finally, there was also a ceremony to confer the degree of Adjunct Professor in Psychiatry to Professor Albert Gjedde and an MOU for further collaboration was signed between the affiliated departments of the universities.
