Dr. Carol Underwood, Assistant Professor and Senior Research Associate from the Center for Communication Programs at Johns Hopkins University gave a scientific lecture on "Importance of Theory-informed and Evidence-based Public Health Programming to Meet the Needs in Diverse Cultural Settings".

This event was part of a program followed by the Faculty of Health to develop scientific collaborations with international universities and keep the students up-to-date with the latest changes in their corresponding disciplines. Dr. Underwood also visited different departments of the University and talked to the academic members during her 3-day stay in Tabriz.
