Dr. Farzad Kakai, surgeon and professor of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences stated: with the confirmation of brain death of 16 year old girl from Tabriz, her family agreed organ donation and two kidneys, heart and liver of the 16 year old girl saved the lives of four people.
Kakai added: this four step operation was performed in Imam Reza hospital. After conducting specialized tests, since the beginning of the surgery, it took more than 12 hours for four surgery teams to carry out the operation.
