TUOMS Representative Attended the Meeting of WHO Collaborating Centers in Muscat
Dr. Mahmood Yousefi, Head of WHO CC in National Public Health Management Center participated in the fourth meeting of the WHO collaborating centers held in Muscat.
Dr. Yousefi participated in the fourth meeting of the WHO collaborating centers in the Eastern Mediterranean Region held in Muscat, Oman on 9-10 January 2019.
The meeting was hosted by Dr. Mohammed al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health of Oman. This event was attended by Dr. Ahmed bin Salim al Mandhari, World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean as well as representatives of collaborating centers from EMR countries including advisers and experts, organizations related to the WHO, and the national health institutions.
In the meeting, the participants pointed out to their programs and activities regarding health concerns. They also stressed the significance of networking and cooperation among collaborating centers in the region.
Meanwhile, Dr. Yousefi had meetings with Dr. Gulin Gedik, responsible officer of NPMC on implementing its mandated work related to WHO as well as representatives from other WHO collaborating centers.
