Iranian Delegation Visited Georgia and Armenia

An Iranian academic delegation headed by Dr. Mohammad Farhadi, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology visited Georgia and Armenia on 4-8 July, 2017.
Dr. Mohammad Hossein Somi, chancellor of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and head of the council of Iranian universities' macro-region 2 was among the visiting authorities.
In this trip which was part of a plan to boost mutual collaborations on scientific ties, educational affairs and academic exchange programs, the Iranian delegation visited different academic departments of the Georgian and Armenian parties and negotiated the terms of collaborations with the corresponding authorities.
Meanwhile, Dr. Somi paid visits to the national medical universities of Tbilisi and Yerevan and expressed that he welcomes the expansion of relations with both parties on common academic grounds. The chancellors of the mutual parties also expressed their willingness to make this program applicable.
